Hello Sugar,
It's been quite a year! All that aside, our new news is that we've just moved out of our space at 8024 W. 3rd Street, and, due to circumstances beyond our control, find ourselves, temporarily without a brick-and-mortar location. After the initial panic subsided we embraced this as the opportunity is is, and are taking a hiatus to enhance our web store.
Our brick-and-mortar boutique will re-open at years end. In the meantime, we hope you will shop our web store as we scour the world to bring you unique, amazingly crafted, beautiful lingerie finds.

There's Something About....
Hello Sugar,
I was traveling recently, and while in my hotel room, found myself dancing in my skivvies to a favorite tune while getting dressed for a meeting. This simple act delighted me immensely -- as though I were a "kid in a candy store"; a la Cameron Diaz in, "There's Something About Mary...".
Yes ladies, you ask why you should own beautiful lingerie -- even when you're single.... Because you are worth EACH AND EVERY PENNY and square yard of silk, lace, modal and cotton that comes with it! AND because you just might find yourself dancing, partially nude, in the mirror with a hair brush and your favorite tune on the iPod!
Rock on, Sisters!

Napoleon Bonaparte to Josephine De Beauharnais
I wake filled with thoughts of you. Your portrait and the intoxicating evening which we spent yesterday have left my senses in turmoil.
Sweet incomparable Josephine, what a strange effect you have on my heart!
Are you angry?
Do I see you looking sad? Are you worried...?
My soul aches with sorrow, and there can be no rest for your lover; but is there still more in store for me when, yielding to the profound feelings which overwhelm me, I draw from your lips, from your heart a love which consumes me with fire? Ah! It was last night that I fully realized how false an image of you your portrait gives!
You are leaving at noon; I shall see you in three hours.
Until then, mio dolce amor, a thousand kisses; but give me none in return, for they set my blood on fire.
Bonaparte

Welcome 2010
Happy New Year Sugar,
As we jump into 2010 I am reminded of all the things I am thankful for.... Though 2009 was a rough year, a lot of wonderful things happened and I met so many fabulous people as I began the journey leading to Sugar Lilie, dessous prives.
I am so very excited about what 2010 offers; new beautiful people, places, textiles, and the pieces they've created that I get to bring home to YOU!
This year, I'll also introduce you to the lovely ladies who create the items you're wearing. I think you'll get a kick out of meeting them, seeing where they create and what drives them....
In creating this scenario, I am inspired by Coco Chanel, who once said, "when women learn to dress for themselves and not their men they will be beautiful"!
My addition, "and their men will reap the benefits"!
